Meals on Wheels Northshore Volunteer Site Coordinator

About this opportunity

As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer Site Coordinator, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service. This volunteer position requires availability for about 4 to 5 hours weekly, including 4 hours at the center on Thursdays, 8am – 12pm. Your main responsibility is to coordinate volunteers for the delivery of meals and complete various office tasks that keep Meals on Wheels running smoothly on schedule. In a pinch, the Coordinator can fill in for any member of the Meals on Wheels team, including calling clients for their order and delivering meals. Training for this position is provided. The organization is looking for someone that is available longer term.

What you'll do

• Coordinate volunteers for meal delivery operations
• Complete office tasks to keep the program running on schedule

Requirements

Must complete the Meals on Wheels Volunteer Application, consent to a Washington State Patrol background check, be able to lift 15 pounds, and be age 18 or more. Looking for longer term availability.
