Meals on Wheels: Alternate Delivery Driver

About this opportunity

As a Meals on Wheels volunteer delivery driver, you'll be part of a compassionate team dedicated to helping seniors who are homebound maintain their health and independence. You'll deliver nutritious meals, provide personal contact, and help combat social isolation. Drivers typically arrive at the Center at 9 am on Thursday mornings, load up the meals, and complete their route in 1 to 2 hours.

What you'll do

• Deliver meals to homebound seniors in the Pacific-Algona area
• Provide personal contact and caring service
• Help combat social isolation among seniors
• Support the health and independence of seniors in your community

Requirements

Must be able to pass a background check, have a valid driver's license, vehicle, and current insurance. Looking for volunteers who can commit to ongoing basis.
