Cosmetology 1

What you'll do

• Practice shampooing, draping, and hair analysis/treatment
• Learn haircutting, natural nail care, and basic skin care techniques
• Practice wet styling, thermal styling, permanent waving, and chemical relaxing
• Learn hair coloring and lightening in a supervised lecture/lab setting
• Study safety measures and decontamination control
• Practice on models, mannequins, and peers

Requirements

Students who complete all requirements and pass with 76% or better, and have a minimum of 350 clock hours can continue to Cosmetology 2 program and work toward Washington State Cosmetology License eligibility.
