Pathways Research Explorers Program

About this opportunity

The Pathways Research Explorers program is a summer internship program for high school students offered by Fred Hutch's Science Education Partnership. Students engage in mentored research experiences focused on cancer research and health equity. The program includes both in-person laboratory research and virtual internship components, where students develop op-eds and community health communication projects addressing healthcare disparities and health equity issues.

What you'll do

• Engage in mentored cancer research experiences
• Participate in laboratory research at Fred Hutch
• Develop and write op-eds on health equity and healthcare disparities
• Collaborate on community health communication projects
• Work on issues including cancer prevention, health disparities, and social determinants of health

Requirements
