About this opportunity

Food Lifeline is looking for dedicated volunteers to join the Production Corps, a core group of committed volunteers who come in regularly to work alongside Food Lifeline Production Coordinators. Volunteers assist with a variety of tasks including washing bins, sorting fresh produce from Stamp Out Hunger donations, and helping coordinate volunteer sorts. This is hands-on, visceral work that directly supports the community by helping provide food for people in need. The role offers flexibility—volunteers can commit to regular weekly shifts (such as Wednesday evenings) or participate as their schedule allows. No hard commitment required; you can try it and see if you like it.

  • Wash and prepare bins for food storage and distribution
  • Sort and organize fresh produce from donations
  • Assist with volunteer coordination and sorting events
  • Work alongside Food Lifeline Production Coordinators on specialized tasks
