About this opportunity

EarthCorps enables community members of all ages to give back to their community by helping keep city parks and forests healthy. Volunteers work on projects that improve forests and parks in local cities. No experience is needed—EarthCorps staff and volunteer leaders will teach you everything you need to know about the work including tool safety, forest health, and the importance of specific tasks. Tasks include removing aggressive weeds like English Ivy and Himalayan Blackberry, planting native trees and shrubs, and spreading mulch. Volunteers should bring a positive attitude, work clothes that can get dirty, closed-toed shoes, water, snacks, and work gloves (extras provided if needed). Volunteering with EarthCorps may count for service hours depending on your school or program.
