Meals on Wheels - Back-up Driver in Shoreline

Join Sound Generations' Meals on Wheels program as a back-up driver delivering meals to homebound seniors in Shoreline. You'll be part of a dedicated group committed to helping seniors maintain their health and independence through nutritious meals, friendly connection, and compassionate service. Drivers typically arrive at the center between 9:15–10:00 a.m., load their meals, and complete their route within 1 to 2 hours on Thursday mornings. Training is provided, and mileage reimbursement is available while making deliveries. The organization is seeking volunteers who want to commit to ongoing service, as consistency is meaningful to the seniors served.

What you'll do

• Deliver meals to homebound seniors in Shoreline
• Load meals at the center
• Complete delivery routes within 1-2 hours
• Provide friendly connection and compassionate service
• Build relationships with seniors through regular visits

Requirements

Must be able to volunteer on an ongoing basis for consistency. Training provided. Mileage reimbursement available.
