About this opportunity

Volunteer opportunities focus on helping parks become healthy and beautiful places for all to enjoy. Projects include weeding, spreading woodchips, planting trees and shrubs (in winter), and picking up litter. All activities contribute to more diverse and resilient ecosystems in King County. Community members of all ages are welcome to join at weekly public volunteer days. We provide all tools and instruction for these fun and inclusive events. No experience needed. Events are held in parks throughout King County, with prioritization for areas with less tree canopy coverage. Environment education is woven into all events to build community sense. Volunteers must dress appropriately as events occur rain or shine (cancelled in hazardous conditions).
