Youth Advisory Board (YAB)

About this opportunity

MOPOP's Youth Advisory Board (YAB) is an opportunity for teens to make their mark on Seattle's creative scene. YAB members collaborate with local musicians, artists, youth arts leaders, community groups, and MOPOP staff to develop the museum's youth voice. Members help with landmark annual events like the Science Fiction + Fantasy Short Film Festival and Sound Off!, work on unique projects such as curating exhibition walls, contribute to social media content creation, and get inside access to museum exhibitions and special events. Members can serve on YAB for up to three years and meet every other week during the school year.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with local musicians, artists, and youth arts leaders
• Help produce landmark events like the Science Fiction + Fantasy Short Film Festival and Sound Off!
• Co-create and contribute to unique museum projects
• Curate and develop exhibition installations
• Create content for MOPOP's social media channels
• Screen artist submissions and promote Sound Off!
