About this opportunity

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program is a nationally recognized certification course developed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Students enrolled in this course will gain hands-on experience and leadership skills in emergency preparedness and disaster response. Students will learn and practice key CERT skills including disaster medical treatment, fire suppression, triage, light search and rescue, and cribbing. Upon successful completion of the course, students will earn their FEMA CERT certification. Additionally, during the medical response unit, students will have the opportunity to earn a First Aid, CPR, and AED certification, valid for two years.
