Dental Assisting Program

About this opportunity

Dental Assisting is a fascinating blend of health, science and people skills. Students gain experience in employable traits such as teamwork, communication, and technical skills for successful transition into the dental profession. The program includes pre-clinical and clinical sciences combined with hands-on experience in the onsite dental clinic. In the second semester, students have the opportunity to intern at another dental practice. Students may earn high school credit, high school equivalency credit, and industry-recognized credentials. This program is offered at Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center and requires successful completion of Biology and Health classes as prerequisites.

What you'll do

• Learn basics of the dental field through pre-clinical sciences
• Gain hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art onsite dental clinic
• Work with patients in the dental clinic
• Intern at another dental practice in the second semester
• Develop teamwork, communication, and technical skills
• Earn high school credit and industry-recognized credentials

Requirements

Requires successful completion of Biology and Health classes as prerequisites. All science & health pathway students need to declare proof of insurance for externships.
