About this opportunity

Sno-Isle TECH Criminal Justice students will explore a wide variety of careers in law enforcement and the criminal justice system. This program is meant to mirror the experience of a police academy. Students will learn case laws that govern how law enforcement agencies operate and techniques in crime scene investigations using forensic science, critical thinking, and will experience the meticulous work of crime scene processing. The program includes practical application of police skills including defensive tactics, weapons defense, proper handcuffing, lethal and non-lethal weapon application, fingerprinting, evidence processing & collection, and evidence interpretation. Student assessments consist of a mock trial and investigative teamwork to solve simulated criminal cases. Students will also have opportunities to speak with current law enforcement and criminal justice professionals. Successful students may receive OSHA-10 certification for Law Enforcement and 10 college credits from Everett Community College through the College in the High School program.

What you'll do

Requirements
