The Sports Medicine & Exercise Science Program at Puget Sound Skills Center is a two-year college-prep pathway designed for motivated high school students interested in healthcare and human performance careers. Students gain college-level learning through hands-on, real-world healthcare skills and clear pathways into rehabilitation, exercise science, and medical careers including athletic training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, kinesiology, exercise physiology, and sports performance.\n\nThrough a partnership with Central Washington University, students earn College in the High School (CiHS) credits while enrolled. Year 1 includes Occupational Health (5 credits) and Glute & Abdominal Conditioning (1 credit). Year 2 offers Conditioning Exercises, Weight Training, and Advanced Conditioning Courses. Students graduate with college credits, industry certifications (including NASM Certified Personal Trainer), and a competitive edge for college and careers.\n\nThe program requires a two-year commitment and is ideal for students ready for rigorous academics, adult-level expectations, and serious preparation for healthcare careers or advanced education.
